left ear problem started while at wedding seated right next to large music speaker that was very loud?
A week later my hearing was down to about 10% in that ear. i went to an ear doctor but did not get any help or diagnosis. suddenly about 2 years ago my ear popped and the hearing was restored.
Just as suddenly about 2 months ago it again went back to about 10% hearing from the same ear.
any ideas ?
Go to another ENT and an audiologist and get a proper diagnosis. There are ways of figuring out exactly what is going on and helping you.
It only takes 15 minutes of loud noise exposure to permanently damage your hearing. Always use ear protection when mowing lawns, hunting, or using loud power tools. Do not listen to music or TV with the sound blasting (even though it is fun!) Wear ear protection at concerts---especially if you already have hearing damage.
If you hear ringing or popping, the damage has already been done.
